AIMC

by Anonymous

Sometimes it is difficult to tell the truth and be in good taste but I will try. I am a graduate of AIMC (Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley) and am saddened to say that attending this school was the most horrible experience of my entire life. It was a great challenge to decide which acupuncture college to attend.

I, and many of my fellow students, made the wrong choice and we have all paid dearly for it. It is difficult to go into details without sounding negative. I applied at two colleges and was accepted by both. In retrospect, I wish I had attended the other college, OCOM, which is truly an incredible place with stability, spirit, and true standards of excellence.

The study of Chinese medicine is a great and worthy path. Don't be hasty in your choice. Allow yourself to see below the surface appearances - examine the real history of the school. Just because a college is accredited by ACCAOM does not mean that it is a great school. I will always be ashamed to have received my diploma from AIMC. Hopefully, you will have the wisdom to do better than I.
